The Artic area is becoming of bigger importance and it gets
more attention in the media. The purpose of the thesis is to
assess the Norway-Russia relations in the Arctic and the
Norwegian perception of Russia. The thesis uses the Copenhagen
School as an analytical framework and methods of content
analysis and chronological sequences as tools. Last but not
least, the aim is to determine whether the Russian expansive
foreign policy influenced the Norway-Russia relations and the
Norwegian perception of their neighbour.
