This diploma work deals with activating methods in teaching
that can be used in German lessons at secondary grammar
schools.  The main concern is to summarize the most important
practical methods and knowledge from teaching. The diploma work
is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is both focused
on types of teaching and factors that affect them. The goal of
the practical part is to verify some activating methods in
practise and to clarify why these are significant. This part
focuses mostly on the possibility of using various literary
texts in practise.
