Abstract

This thesis creates a Terraform provider for interacting with KYPO Cyber Range Platform (KYPO CRP) in an automated way for developers of cybersecurity training and exercises. Thesis description
This thesis aims to automate a complex process of creating network environments in the KYPO Cyber Range Platform (KYPO CRP). First, a new process for automated testing of deployed environments using Terraform will be designed and demonstrated in network environments used in KYPO CRP. Second, the student will enhance his bachelor thesis on the automated preparation of virtual images for OpenStack and Vagrant Cloud. In particular, the improved process for creating virtual images will use Terraform and test the created images in KYPO CRP. Finally, both practical results will be deployed in practice, and the student will report lessons learned.
