OSNOVA PROJEKTU 1. Vymezení řešené problematiky a základních pojmů (dle tématu práce) Although Received Pronunciation is usually taught in Czech schools, America is the world of films, sitcoms and videogames, and therefore, Czech students are exposed to an American accent more in their free time. This has an impact on their pronunciation of English. I will deal with this impact in my bachelor thesis. I will give a theoretical background needed to for the analysis and I will make a research among Czech students and analyse the results. 2. Shrnutí dosavadního stavu řešení či poznání (stručná rešerše, východisko pro cíl práce, formulace výzkumných problémů apod.) 3. Cíl práce The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find to what extent and in which specific aspects the pronunciation of English by Czech students is influenced by the American accent in sitcoms and movies. 4. Pracovní postup (přístup k řešení, metody, techniky, nástroje apod.) I will create a list of words which are common in American films and sitcoms and which I expect to be read in an American accent by the students. I will create a text with these words and then have it read by a number of Czech students. This research will be a base for further analysis. 5. Organizační, materiální a finanční zabezpečení práce (časový harmonogram práce aj.) I would like to prepare the theoretical background for my bachelor thesis during the summer and make the final version of the text that would be the base for my research.
