The goal of the thesis is to (1) provide survey of the usage of containers (e.g. Docker) in software continuous integration processes and (2) create sample implementation as a proof-of-concept. The differences and advantages of the containerization and traditional approaches should be discussed in the survey part. Based on the state-of-the-art findings, the student will then design a process for continuous integration development that exploits the containerization with emphasis on integration testing and deployment. The proposed process will then be implemented as a demonstration web-based system using microservices. The system should consist of at least three services.
