Abstract
This thesis builds upon previous research on anomaly detection in systems with microservice architecture. The thesis aims to design and implement an extensible platform based on the Quarkus framework, which enables the testing of various anomaly detection algorithms, including existing and newly added ones. The objectives of this thesis are as follows:
- Develop a platform for evaluating microservice performance anomaly detection algorithms, elaborating on the design decisions.
- Address the main limitations of the previous thesis in terms of implementation (e.g., creation of containers for easy deployability).
- Introduce additional (potentially also unsupervised) algorithms to show how new algorithms can be added to the platform.
- Demonstrate the platform by conducting a large-scale experimental evaluation to compare the implemented algorithms for anomaly detection.
