The main purpose of this bachelor thesis was creating an
additive teaching material for the subject Statistical
methods and data processing 1 intended for students of
geography.
The thesis covers the topics of descriptive statistics,
parameter estimation, hypothesis testing and correlation
analysis. In each chapter, the necessary theory is briefly
summarized, which is subsequently illustrated with concrete
examples from the field of physical and human geography based
on publicly available data. The examples were processed in the
STATISTICA system with a detailed procedure explained.
