Předmětem této tvůrčí bakalářské práce je žánr story v lokálním periodiku Hranický týden. Autorka se zaměří na konkrétní podobu story v rubrice Zajímavé osobnosti Hranicka, která v týdeníku vycházela od července do srpna roku 2011. Práce se bude skládat ze dvou částí – teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části bude autorka definovat žánr story tak, jak je nahlížen v české a zahraniční literatuře. Pozornost přitom bude věnovat jednotlivým rozdílům a podobnostem v chápání pojmu story a feature. Na základě kvalitativních rozhovorů se třemi členy redakce Hranického týdne bude možné z obecného teoretického vymezení žánru story odvodit jeho konkrétní podobu v cílovém médiu a jeho specifikaci v rubrice Zajímavé osobnosti Hranicka. Nedílnou součástí práce bude také charakteristika Hranického týdne a vymezení kontextu tématu, jímž jsou zajímavé osobnosti Hranicka. Výstupem praktické části bude pět ukázek žánru story určených pro danou rubriku. Každý text bude doplněn autorskou odbornou kritickou reflexí obsahující také okolnosti, za nichž jednotlivá díla vznikala. Hlavním cílem práce je v souladu s pravidly pro psaní story v Hranickém týdnu vytvořit soubor pěti publicistických textů na společné téma pro rubriku Zajímavé osobnosti Hranicka.

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the genre story in local journal Hranice Weekly Newspaper. The author will focus on the specific form of story in the section called Interesting People of Hranice Region, which was published in the newspaper from July to August 2011. The thesis consists of two parts – theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author will define the genre story as it is presented in Czech and foreign literature. The emphasis will be put on the differences and similarities in understanding of the term story and feature. The particular form of story in the target medium and its specification in the section called Interesting People of Hranice Region will be derived from qualitative interviews conducted with three different members of staff working in Hranice Weekly Newspaper. The characteristics of Hranice Weekly Newspaper and the description of the interesting people of Hranice region are also essential parts of the paper. Five sample stories written for the given section will serve as an output of the practical part of the thesis. Each article will be supplemented by a critical reflection which will also describe the circumstances under which the articles were created.
