Diplomová práce
Using LLM-based Chat Bot as an alternative to traditional Web Application User Interface
Anotace
Abstract
This thesis explores the development of a conversational user interface powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) as an alternative to traditional web applications, focusing on its application to the Y Soft AIVA Booking Portal. The project involves evaluating different LLMs for cost and performance, implementing a chatbot integrated into a messaging application, and evaluating its usability and reliability.
Zadání práce
Chat bots represent modern alternative, especially when they are integrated within the existing user ecosystem, such as WhatsApp, Discord or Apple iMessage. All major messaging application offer enterprise integration APIs, which enable businesses and application providers to chat with their users and customers. In practice, human operators are often engaged in these scenarios, but companies are increasingly trying to adopt chat bots, especially chat bots based on generative AI technologies.
The goal of this thesis is to take traditional web application, in our particular case, the YSoft AIVA Booking Portal and provide an alternate implementation based on generative AI, integrated with a popular chat application. The student is free to choose gen-AI API provider, the chat application, programming language and implementation platform. The application should be deployed in cloud.
The thesis should cover the following parts:
1. Implementation using an gen-AI platform of choice comparing at least 2 models (low cost vs. the most advanced model offered by the chosen provider).
2. Validation testing of the responses of the chatbot considering various booking scenarios.
3. User research with selected group of human users.
4. Discussion of the encountered issues and quick description of if/how they can be addressed.
The thesis should answer the main question whether it is practical to provide such alternative to web interface, whether it is reliable and deployable to end-users.
