The Cartesian Tradition in European Philosophy
Cartesiánská tradice v evropském myšlení
Abstract
Bakalářská práce „Cartesiánská tradice v evropském myšlení“ je rozdělena do dvou částí. První, rozsahově menší část, předkládá poměrně široký soubor definic pojmu cartesianismus z filozofických a encyklopedických slovníků napříč 20. stoletím. Druhá, rozsahově širší část, poměřuje uvedenými definicemi myšlení vybraných filozofů s cílem najít v jejich myšlení stopy cartesianismu v podobě uvedené v definicích.
Abstract
Thesis „The Cartesian Tradition in European Philosophy“ is separated into two parts. The first part, which is range- less, is focused on relativaly broad complex of definitions of the notion „cartesianism“ in philosophical and encyclopedic dictionaries of the twentieth century. The second, extensive part of this thesis compares thoughts of chosen philosophers by their definitions to find reference of cartesianism in their philosophies in the form stated in definitions.
