Annotation The bachelor thesis is focused on teaching English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) to Deaf students. In the theoretical part, it describes deafness in general and looking at deafness from different points of view. The other two chapters of the first part of the thesis deal with learning and teaching EFL and the motivation to learn a foreign language. In the practical part, all three themes are connected to research on the motivation of deaf students to learn EFL. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to look deeper into the motivational problems of learning EFL and derive some conclusions and ideas how to make learning EFL to deaf students more effective.
