The diploma thesis under consideration addresses the adoption of nouns from English into Czech. The theoretical section of the thesis examines the formation of words in the Czech language, the adoption of words from foreign languages into the Czech language, the use of Anglicisms, and the morphology of nouns. The practical component of the thesis focuses on three highly prevalent Anglicisms in the school environment, which were selected from the responses of teachers to a preliminary survey. The research involved students of grammar schools whose mother tongue is Czech. The objective of the study was to ascertain whether the selected Anglicisms are declined according to the respondents and how these words should be written.
