Abstract

Given the perceived disengagement of the United States to pull back from engaging as heavily in the security matters of allied partners in the Middle East and North African region (MENA), a large amount of time, resources, and effort have been put into establishing a common security framework in the region. From Israel’s perspective, this means there is a strong need to find an alternative way to ensure its defense. Whether it be through the Abraham Accords or individual bilateral agreements, Israel is in search of stronger and more comprehensive developments with existing partners or forging partnerships with others in the area. However, bringing this concept into fruition has proven to be quite challenging, yet in many ways closer than one might think. Given various other factors to take into consideration, this paper seeks to analyze the difficulties associated with this endeavor, as well as an attempt to predict how possible such cooperation will be and see potential after-effects that could occur as a result. …víceméně
