Abstract

The main aim of this thesis is to create a visualisation plugin into the Security dashboard – a platform used by the CSIRT-MU Cybersecurity Team in the protection of the network of the Masaryk University. Zadání práce
The aim of the thesis is to create a visualization plugin that will present the log data generated by the DNS firewall in a user-friendly form. The DNS firewall is a custom security tool used by the CSIRT-MU Cybersecurity Team in the protection of the network of the Masaryk University. The visualization plugin will be created in the Angular framework and integrated into the common dashboard, among the plugins of the other security tools. The work consists of the following steps:
  • Getting acquainted with the data generated by the DNS firewall.
  • Designing of the visual representation of the data in the form of graphs and tables.
  • Defining and implementing the REST API that the plugin will use to access the DNS firewall database backend.
  • Implementing the visualization plugin in Angular framework.
  • Integrating the plugin into the security dashboard of the CSIRT-MU.
The student will consult with the members of the security team to match the specific requirements of the CSIRT-MU. The thesis will be written in English.
