This diploma thesis is about the state welfare benefits system
regulated by the act no. 117/1995 coll.. Social security is
built on three pillars - social insurance, social security
benefits and social assistance. The thesis covers all the three
pillars with paying the greatest attention to the area of
social security benefits and their distribution. The benefits
are defined one by one with all the following specifics: their
conditions and purposes, the past and current legislation,
conditions of eligibility, the dedicated benefits amount and
last but not least the personal opinion of the author. The
thesis includes also definitions of terms which are necessary
to understand the whole topic. The last part also covers social
security benefits proceedings.
