Anotace

Táto bakalárska práca sa zameriava na vytvorenie simulátora Offline Remote Spoolera, ktorý je súčasťou tlačového riešenia YSoft SafeQ, vytvoreného firmou Y Soft Corporation, a.s.. Cieľom práce je nájsť správnu cestu pre vytvorenie simulátora, navrhnúť možné riešenie pre vytvorenie Offline Remote Spooler simulátora, implementovať a otestovať takýto simulátor.

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on creating the simulator of the Offline Remote Spooler, which is part of the YSoft SafeQ printing solution created by the Y Soft Corporation, a.s.. The aim of the thesis is to find the correct way of creating the simulator, propose the possible solution for creating an Offline Remote Spooler simulator, implement and test such simulator.

YSoft SafeQ is a printing management solution. Among others, it includes two major components: Central Management Layer (CML) and Offline Remote Spooler (ORS). The goal of this thesis is to design, implement, test and evaluate a simulator of Offline Remote Spooler, which can be used for performance testing of CML. The simulator should be able to generate traffic on CML according to different patterns specified by a user of the simulator (e.g., traffic of a constant rate). The simulator should be configurable and extensible. It should be possible to run and configure (in automated manner) hundreds of these simulators at the same time. The simulator must have a small resource footprint. The thesis must include a manual how to use the simulator.

The thesis is realized in collaboration with Y Soft Corporation, a.s.
