Táto práca analyzuje tri anglické prídavné mená: odd, strange, weird. Jej hlavným cieľom je rozlíšenie rozdielov v použití daných prídavných mien v každodennom živote. Abstract

This thesis provides an analysis of three adjectives: odd, strange, weird. The main purpose is the distinction of the discrepancies between the uses of the adjectives in everyday life. The analysis relies on data gathered from the British National Corpus and the Corpus of Contemporary American English. The thesis is comprised of two parts. Thesis description
The aim of this thesis is to distinguish three seemingly synonymous adjectives. The adjectives studied are: odd, strange and weird. Data extracted from the British National Corpus and the Corpus of Contemporary American English will be the basis for the analysis, which will focus primarily on the most frequently collocating nouns of the adjectives and the contexts in which they appear.
