Abstract

Disertace se zabývá interakcemi dětí a adolescentů s neznámými lidmi na internetu. Tato aktivita je typicky chápaná jako riziková, přestože empirický výzkum spíše ukazuje, že většina takových interakcí probíhá v pořádku: ani interakce na internetu, ani ty s přenosem do reality (osobní setkání) typicky nevedou k žádné újmě. Abstract

The thesis focuses on children’s and adolescents’ interactions with unknown people from the internet, so-called “online strangers”. This activity is typically conceptualized as risky for youth, even though existing empirical research shows only partial support for the concerns: in the majority of cases, both communication online as well as face-to-face meetings do not result in harm.
