- Anotace
- Bioorganic chemistry is chemistry of organic biologically active compounds. It is besides medicines which are in detail studied by medicinal chemistry concerned with pesticides used in agriculture (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, moluscocides, rodenticides...), food additives in which a biologic activity can be specified, chemical warfare agents and toxic compounds of all the kind. The discipline studies both qualitative (SAR) a quantitative (QSAR) relationships between structure and activity or toxicity of these compounds. It also deals with their syntheses and metabolism as well as computer modelling of interactions of these molecules with target structures such as such as active sites of enzymes, receptors or nucleic acids.
- Výstupy z učení
- A DSP student will acquire an advanced knowledge in the field of biologically active compounds, which cannot considered to be medicines, mainly pesticides, chemical assault substances, industrial poisons and food additives in the range, agreed preliminarily among a student, his/her tutor and a examiner.
