Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí - první je část praktická, kterou tvoří série celkem deseti maleb. Část druhá je teoretickým náhledem na umění a styl současné tvorby. Převážně se pak v této části zabývám prací Tima Burtona, jehož tvorba byla inspirací pro mé malby. Teoretická část také řeší otázku uměleckého směru weird fiction a umělců, kteří jsou jeho součástí. Abstract
This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts – the first is the practical part which consists of ten acrylic paintings whilst the second part looks at the theory behind art. The thesis examines the necessity for theory behind art and considers specifically the style of Tim Burton and how his work has provided inspiration for my paintings.
