Structural variation in the human genome and its role in some complex traits diseases
Strukturní variabilita lidského genomu a jeho úloha při vzniku některých komplexních onemocnění
Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zabývá strukturní variabilitou lidského genomu, zejména variabilním počtem kopií DNA sekvencí (CNV), a její souvislostí s některými komplexními onemocněními. CNV jsou definovány jako o segmenty DNA o velikosti 1 kb až několik Mb, které představují významný zdroj genetické rozmanitosti v lidském genomu. Objevení přítomnosti těchto submikroskopických chromozomových změn vedlo ke změně …more
Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the structural variability of the human genome especially the copy number variation (CNV) and its association with some complex diseases. CNVs are defined as DNA segments ranging from 1 kb to several MB, which represent a significant source of genetic diversity in the human genome. The discovery of these submicroscopic chromosome changes has led to a change in our view …more
