Digital transformation demands a highly efficient platform for project work, business intelligence and enterprise insights. Unfortunately, the tool that many of us use to do the actual work - spreadsheets - hasn’t changed significantly since the 80s. Making matters worse, the business data are usually scattered all over various tools. Legacy tools are less valuable for today’s modern business because the way teams work has dramatically shifted over the last three decades. In just a few short years, millions of workers have started to collaborate by utilizing some of the many different tools available. However, using multiple tools and different apps is problematic. The goal of a newly created open-source project management tool is to provide a single solution to support current business models. This means providing various views of the same data to allow smooth communication, prevent duplication of effort and allow moving work forward in a seamless manner. The goal of this thesis is to extend an existing open-source project management tool so that it supports easy user friendly specification of workflow automations. The student is supposed to:

1. Review the best workflow automations in existing tools (Monday.com, ClickUp, Asana, Write, Airtable…) and investigate their automation possibilities to compare what is currently on the market.
2. Become acquainted with the project's existing solution for workflow automation, which uses functions and rules.
3. Explore what business rules the existing tools offer and pick those applicable to the functions and the rules.
4. Choose and develop a suitable set of predefined functions and rules implementing the business rules based on real-life user feedback.
5. Design and implement a set of reusable and reactive components that will form the final solution. The components should use the maximum of already existing code, preserve the project's design language, and offer an enjoyable user experience.
6. Implement the final solution in the form of a wizard.
7. Write a user manual and release it as a blog post on the project's blog.
