Dva roky od začátku Ruské invaze na Ukrajinu se stále zdá řešení konfliktu v nedohlednu. Zatím co se Německo snažilo posledních pár let prezentovat jako možný vůdce evropského společenství, a jeho snaha v této oblasti přilákala akademický pohled na jeho řešení předešlých krizí. In two years since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, there is no solution to the conflict on the horizon. While Germany has in the last few years, tried to present itself as a possible leader of Europe, and significant scholarship was written about its efforts in this area during the previous crises. This thesis looks at the German reaction to the invasion and argues that Germany did not acquire a leadership role in its response to this crisis. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate German leadership in different areas of its policy response and present my argument. The thesis deals with possible counterarguments while drawing on existing theoretical literature and current empirical information.
