The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement a prototype graphical user interface for a service enabling structure negotiations used by the biobanking community in the EU, a Negotiator. The tool is being developed by and for BBMRI-ERIC using for the backend Java (Spring Boot, and an API description in OpenAPI/Swagger) and for the frontend with vue.js. Redesign of the current user interface needs to be discussed and at least one suggestion should be provided and prototyped within this thesis. Also, an extended API definition will be created to specify the interaction of the frontend with the backend. The student should cooperate with the BBMRI-ERIC User Experience (UX) group collecting feedback from users, with Czech biobankers who are one of the most frequent users of the Negotiator service, and with the developers of the tool. The student should find the best GUI (vue.js or angular) technology and take into consideration that the tool is a central point of the whole BBMRI-ERIC IT infrastructure and provides a REST API for other services. The student will be asked to: 1) Develop API endpoint together with the BBMRI-ERIC development team for the fronted backend connection 2) Prototype a new GUI with a mocked backend for the API together with the BBMRI-ERIC UX team 3) Collect user feedback from Czech Biobankers 4) Updated and coordinated feedback with BBMRI-ERIC UX team and implement the changes.
