The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a recommendation system that suggests suitable courses based on course data and student’s T-shape profile. The student will analyze the T-shape methodology, compare it with alternative skill models, and justify its relevance in the modern job market.

Building on previous work that generated T-shape profiles from completed courses in the university’s Information System, this thesis will extend the system to support additional categories and all faculties. Multiple methods for creating T-shape profiles will be introduced - from completed or mandatory courses, predefined company templates, or custom inputs. The recommendation engine will combine statistical, machine learning, and LLM-based techniques. The pilot application will be tested by a selected group of Masaryk University students, with feedback collected to assess performance and usability.
